Cooler Days, Island Ways: Things to Do on Isle of Palms

Read on for ways to explore the island and take advantage of cooler temperatures and vivid sunrises and sunsets.

Lower Prices

Many businesses have special deals during this time of year. You may see lower room rates too!

Free Parking

Free parking is available on Front Beach (Ocean Blvd on-street parking) and the Municipal Parking Lots from October 31, 2024, through March 1, 2025. No need to pay to park before you play!

See PCI Municipal Services for parking information.

Mild Weather & Stunning Skies

There is still mild weather in the Lowcountry during this time of year. Make the most of 70-degree weather days on IOP. If the summer heat isn't your jam, now is the time to take those peaceful strolls on the beach.

While sunrises and sunsets are stunning on the island year-round, the pinks, reds and oranges during the cooler months truly shine- add that to soft, sandy shores and you'll have the perfect, dreamy beach day.

Indoor/Outdoor Recreation

Savor Island Flavors

  • Grab a warm or refreshing beverage from an island café or enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner at local restaurants.

  • Oyster roasting season is here. Be sure to recycle your shells at Islander 71.
