Local Comprehensive Beach Management Plan

2023

On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, City Council unanimously adopted the revised Local Comprehensive Beach Management Plan for the City. 

In accordance with the Beachfront Management Act, S.C. Code Ann. ยง 48-39-250 et seq., the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (DHEC OCRM) reviewed and approved the locally adopted Comprehensive Beach Management Plan for the City of Isle of Palms.

2017

The City's updated Local Comprehensive Beach Management Plan , including Appendices, have been placed on public comment by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environment Control Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM). The public comment period ends September 27, 2016.

On February 28, 2017, City Council approved by Resolution, the Local Comprehensive Beach Management Plan.

On May 9, 2017 the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control's Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (DHEC OCRM) approved the locally adopted Comprehensive Beach Management Plan.

2008

The City of Isle of Palms Local Comprehensive Beach Management Plan, including Appendices, was approved by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management on April 7, 2008.
