Free Shred Day 2021 at Mount Pleasant DMV

On Saturday, April 17, 2021, Charleston County will host a FREE "Shred Day" at the Mount Pleasant Department of Motor Vehicles, located at the end of the IOP Connector at 1189 Sweetgrass Basket Parkway in Mount Pleasant.

The event begins at 9:00 a. m. and ends at 12:00 p. m. 

The event will only be for disposal of documents and no hazardous material will be accepted.  Charleston County will accept confidential documents for free shredding and recycling from residents of Charleston County; no commercial business material will be accepted.

Please bring the documents for shredding in a paper bag or box only. No plastic bags or reusable totes can be used. Material may not be shredded on site but will be handled in a confidential manner.

In accordance with the County's COVID-19 Protocol masks will be required at all times, including inside your car. Attendees will not be permitted to exit their car and staff will be available to help unload material.
