The Isle of Palms July Fourth Fireworks Show will take place at 9 p.m. on Front Beach. Officers will be on-site to direct traffic as participants leave the island. We have a traffic plan in place to get people off the island as safely and efficiently as possible. We ask that drivers use extreme caution when leaving the fireworks show. We expect a large crowd with many people walking to their cars and homes. Pedestrians are encouraged to have flashlights or reflective material to be seen easily when walking at night.
We ask that everyone pack their patience on July Fourth, we will be working to make sure traffic impacts are minimal. Please obey signs or the officers’ directions at traffic control points and be aware you may be directed to take a different route than you are used to. We can work together to make this a safe and enjoyable holiday.
