A Special Thank You to IOP Employees
To All IOP Employees,
A HUGE thank you to each and every one of you for your efforts over the past week taking care of our city, residents and visitors. I am continually in awe of your work, attitude to do whatever is needed and willingness to serve – thank you!
What I saw this week as I sat in the Emergency Operation Center and rode around our island:
- Great coordination and partnering with local and state agencies
- A very efficient, coordinated emergency operation center at our Public Safety Building
- Employees on the island at all hours doing whatever they could to alleviate flooding, remove debris blocking the roads, respond to the tornado, create updates to keep our residents informed, work from home to keep normal operations moving and plan for post-storm needs all while their homes and families were dealing with the same storm
- A team that I am very proud to be associated with and have the opportunity to serve with!
Thank you again for what you did during this storm and for what you do every day for our community.
