Road Closure Updates

*As of 7:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2024, all roads are opened.

8:00 AM August 6, 2024

The following roads are closed:

  • 25th Avenue from Palm Blvd through Waterway Blvd. 
    • Multiple downed trees caused by a tornado that went through 25th and Hartnett. Damaged a home and multiple vehicles. No injuries.
  • Palm Blvd. between 31st at 33rd Ave. due to flooding
  • Palm Blvd. between 28th and 30th Ave. due to flooding

11:30 AM August 6, 2024

  • Hartnett Blvd at 25th due to damage caused by tornado

1:00 PM August 6, 2024

  • Waterway Blvd between 23rd and 24th due to flooding 

2:25 PM August 6, 2024

  • Palm Blvd between 28th and 30th is now open. Section between 31st and 33rd Ave is still closed due to flooding.

4:00 PM August 6, 2024

  • All street closures have reopened with the exception of Waterway Blvd at 24th Avenue, where SCDOT is clearing a downed tree.

*Correction* 6:00 PM August 6, 2024

  • The section of Palm Blvd between 31-33rd Avenue is also still closed due to significant standing water on the road.
