Public Safety Training Exercise to be Held on July 31

The City of Isle of Palms Police Department and Isle of Palms Fire Department will be conducting a training exercise in coordination with the Charleston County Public Safety - Division of Emergency Management - EMD. This exercise will take place on July 31, 2024, starting at 12 p.m. and is estimated to finish at 1:30 p.m. During this event, you may see increased emergency vehicles or other emergency equipment on the island. This exercise is running as part of Charleston County Government's yearly full-scale exercise for hurricane preparedness and response. The areas with the most concentration will be Wild Dunes Resort, Isle of Palms Recreation Center, and parts of the beach.
