AT&T Fiber Optic Internet Expanded on Isle of Palms
The City of Isle of Palms joined AT&T at a ribbon cutting on April 18, 2024, to announce the expansion of fiber optic internet on the island. The expansion will grant fiber optic internet to over 300 eligible business and residential customers. Fiber internet transfers information at a faster speed than cable or DSL, which may be helpful to those who work from home or own a business. While the service is not yet available island-wide, city leaders aim to continue working with AT&T to improve connectivity throughout Isle of Palms.
