SBA Disaster Loans - The Small Business Administration approved more than $63.6 million to businesses, homeowners and renters affected by the October floods. The SBA is encouraging everyone who has not yet done so, to complete the application before the December 4, 2015 deadline. Federal Assistance in Relation to Severe Flooding Incident
Charleston County is eligible for federal declaration for Individual Assistance. Citizens who experienced loss or damage due to the severe flooding event, may visit the FEMA website to complete the online application. When asked to choose a disaster, select 'Disaster has ocurred, but not in the list' option. The application will be processed if an when a declaration is signed. Citizens may also call (800) 621-3362(800) 621-3362 FREE for more information.

IRS Provides Tax Relief to South Carolina Flood Victims
The Internal Revenue Service announced that South Carolina flood victims, including individuals and businesses that previously received a tax-filing extension to October 15th, will have until February 16, 2016, to file their returns and pay any taxes due.

Report Losses and Damages to the City's Building Department
Isle of Palms residents, whose property sustained any damage as a result of the historic flood event, should contact Douglas Kerr, Director of Building, Planning and Zoning, at 843-886-9912843-886-9912 or to ensure that the City accurately reports estimated damages to FEMA.
