Camp Summershine offers a variety of fun and interactive opportunities including arts/crafts, indoor/outdoor activities, trips to the beach and field trips. Children need to bring lunch, snacks are provided.

Camp Summershine Dates and Themes:
Week 1: June 7 - 11 - Summer of Love FULL - Ages 5 -7 & Ages 8-12
Campers will plan a Summer of Love party complete with costume contest. Field Trip to Splash Zone and the Beach.
Week 2: June 14 - 18 - Sweet Treat Week FULL - Ages 5-7 & Ages 8-12
Campers will decorate cookies, compete in sweet rewards and have a sweet share party! Field Trip to Blackbeard's Cove and the Beach.
Week 3: June 21 - 25 - Wild Waters FULL - Ages 5-7 & Ages 8-12
Beat the heat of summer with a week full of water games and activities. Field Trip to Splash Zone, Sand castle contest at the beach and Charleston Jump Castles will provide waterslide fun.
Week 4: June 28 - July 2 - Holidaze FULL - Ages 5-7 & Ages 8-12
Get a Jump Start on celebrating the holidays. Charleston Jump Castles will be on site with waterslides and Jump Castles and a trip to the beach.
Week 5: July 6 - 9 - Hawaiian Heaven FULL - Ages 5-7 & Ages 8-12
We’re going to have a Luau Beach Party! Hula hoop and limbo contests. Charleston Jump Castles will be on site with waterslides and Jump Castles. Fees prorated. No Camp July 5
Week 6: July 12 - 16 - Dodge This! FULL - Ages 5-7 & Ages 8-12
Welcome to the wonderful world of dodgeball! Field Trip to Blackbeard's Cove and Charleston Jump Castles will provide water slides.
Week 7: July 19 - 23 - Around the World FULL - Ages 5-7 & Ages 8-12
Campers take a trip around the world! Field Trip to Splash Zone and the Beach.
Week 8: July 26 - 30 - Island Idol FULL - Ages 5-7 & Ages 8-12
Field Trip to Carolina Ice Palace. Talent show will be on Friday, July 30th at 2:00pm.
Little Facts Parents/Guardians Should Know About Camp
· Camp starts at 9:00am SHARP! It is disruptive to the rest of the camp if your child arrives late. Activities will be in progress.
· Parents must sign out their children at the end of camp. If you give permission for your child to ride their bike or to walk home, you MUST sign a permission form each week. Permission forms are included in this booklet
· Remaining Balance for each week is DUE the Monday of that week. You may pay when you sign your child in or at the front desk.
· Camp Summershine provides supervision from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Please pick up your child promptly. There will be a $10.00 late fee charge to your account each day your child is not picked up on time.
· Registration Deposits are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable.
· Children are not allowed to bring toys to camp unless approved by Counselors or Recreation Staff. Toys will be placed in a Recreation office and returned at the end of the day.
· Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Removal of disruptive children may be necessary. No refunds will be given.
· Please look at the Camp Calendar and send your child to camp with the appropriate items. If in doubt, send your child to camp wearing a bathing suit, sunscreen and with a towel.
· Apply Sunscreen to your child EVERY MORNING!!! Children are outside everyday!
· Due to allergic reactions that some children have to sunscreens. Counselors will only be allowed to apply Sunscreen that you supply before going to the Beach or Splash Zone.
· On field trip days, campers are required to wear their Camp Summershine T-Shirt. It is important that your child is easy to recognize.
· Please send your child to camp with a bag lunch everyday, unless it is a field trip day.
· Campers are given one snack during the day. Refreshments and water are available for your child throughout the day.
· Counselors will handle all lunch money for field trips and will collect at the beginning of camp.
· Please make Recreation Staff and counselors aware of any allergies or special needs your child has.
