The guidelines provided are for typical applications. There is no possible way to address all situations which may arise; however, following these guidelines will begin the review process. Laws and policies continue to change. These guidelines will be updated as needed.

The City of Isle of Palms Residential Rental Applications were mailed June 17, 2015.  The property owners, who lease their residences, have until Monday, August 31, 2015 to submit payment to the Business License Office without penalty.  All payment fees submitted after Monday, August 31, 2015 will be assessed a 5% penalty each month the fee is not paid.  Residential renters, without a current Isle of Palms Residential Rental License may also be subject to criminal prosecution.  Failure to receive a residential rental license application does not relieve owners of the responsibility of paying the business license fee.  It is unlawful for any person or agent to act as a rental or management agent for an owner of property who does not have a current Isle of Palms Residential Rental Business License.  If you have any questions, please contact the Isle of Palms Building Department at 843-886-9912 or visit 1207 Palm Boulevard, Isle of Palms, SC 29451.
